Hematologist and stem cell transplant specialist Doctor Dipnarine Maharaj and his partner professor Zheng Cui have found a possible cure for cancer.
Dr Maharay is expecting to hold a clinical trial at the South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute in Boynton Beach that could prove the difficult to find cure for cancer has already been found.
Professor Zheng Cui from Wake Forest University has done cancer research on lab mice for years. He observed that alike some human, some mice also never got cancer even after being exposed to the dreaded disease.
He then able to identified that certain white blood cells called neutrophil is the key factor in preventing mice getting cancer.
Finally Dr Cui could also transfer those cells from mice that did not have cancer to mice that did have it. He was able to cure those mice of those cancers.
Food and Drug Administration has approved a clinical trial of this ten years of research of a potential cure for cancer. On the first stage 29 patients will be infused with special white blood cells.
The most difficult part of the research is to find out proper healthy donors with cancer fighting white blood cells. Donors should be with no family history of cancer and between 18 and 30 years of age.
If the research is successful then cancer patients may one day not have to undergo chemo.
