An American mother of twin boys suffering from cerebral palsy claims the speaking ability of one of her sons has dramatically improved since he received experimental umbilical cord stem cell injections in the Bahamas last July, according to U.S media reports.

It’s the most recent report on the status of American children traveling to the Bahamas for the experimental treatments not available in their country since stem cell treatments at the IAT Immunology Research Centre in Freeport were ordered suspended by the government late last year.

The mother, Christy Frye, reportedly brought her nine-year-old twins to the Bahamas for the injections and said her son, Tyler, who could not speak well prior to the trip was able to verbally communicate about three months after the treatment.
