Stempeutics Research (M) Sdn Bhd announced to have launched the first of its kind stem cell research center in Malaysia. The center is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Manipal Education and Medical Group of India, which is located at Technology Park Malaysia.

President of the Manipal Education and Medical Group of India, expressed his hope for stem cell research in the country.At the launch of the stem cell research facility, he said,

“Stempeutics will conduct research and study on stem cells. Currently, we are working with local institutions like Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Institute for Medical Research and Kumpulan Perbadanan Johor in the area of stem cell research.”

Also present at the event were BiotechCorp’s chief executive officer Datuk Iskandar Mizal Mahmood and Manipal University’s pro chancellor Dr H.S. Ballal.Fadillah, in his address, said the opening of the state-of-the-art facility will act as a catalyst in which knowledge could be transformed into commercial success.
