A 6-year-old Albuquerque boy flew to Tucson today in hopes a stem-cell transplant from an anonymous donor will save his life. His mother had been battling her insurance company for a month, and until Tuesday evening, it was refusing to pay for what it considered an experimental treatment. About five hours after KRQE News 13 began asking questions, Molina Healthcare reversed that decision and agreed to cover the transplantation.

Now that Molina Healthcare has agreed to pay a majority of the medical bills, Joshua and his family can focus on him getting better and not the financial burden of the treatment that could save his life.
