LifeCell, India’s cord blood bank, announced the launch of its marketing and collection centre in Surat, for umbilical cord stem cell banking. LifeCell has a Stem Cell Processing and Banking facility near Chennai, conforming to the standards of American Association of Blood Banks and USFDA.

With this launch, LifeCell has nine marketing and collection centres in India — Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Kochi and now in Surat.

The company plans to expand its network of marketing and collection centres to 24 cities within the next two years.
