Embryonic Stem Cell May Be Free From Ethical Debate Soon
It seems the ethical debate over the use of embryonic stem cell is going to end. A new research, presented at the fertility conference in Spain presents the possibility of overcoming the ethical question regarding the use of it in near future.
The new research suggests that the stem cell can be removed at the much early stage when the embryos are easier to manipulate without causing harm. So far the researchers obtain the stem cell from the five-day-old embryos in a process which breaks the embryo apart. The embryo is destroyed in this process.
Human embryonic stem cell have the ability to develop into virtually any part of the body and could be used to treat a host of disorders including some fatal diseases like type 1 diabetes and Parkinson’s.
