Australian Stem Cell Centre Opens New Stem Cell Research Hub in Brisbane
The Australian Stem Cell Center (ASCC) today opened a new stem cell research hub at Brisbane, Australia. The research hub will focus in blood and kidney related studies. ASCC chairman said that the hub will be a link for scientists from several places.
ASCC employs researchers of their own and also have funded several other research projects in Brisbane. Other than the hub, the ASCC runs projects like application of adult cells in diseases like heart and kidney.
Their other research projects include normal tissue repair, comparisons between different stem cell types,investigations into the safety and effectiveness of embryonic stem cells, and the development of processes to boost cell numbers.
